Opportunities Guide & Best Practices

Cortex houses a large amount of patient and employee feedback, which can sometimes feel overwhelming. To help your team focus on what matters most, Cortex created Opportunities - actionable alerts that highlight the most important items needing follow-up.

Opportunities are represented by orange icons in the Cortex platform. They can be generated from CheckUp Calls, Hospital Alerts, Resident Surveys, and Employee Surveys.

  • Patient Opportunities
    • Reacquire Patient- A former patient has had a recent event that indicates they may need additional care.
    • Prevent Hospitalization- A current or former patient has had a recent event that indicates this patient is at high risk for readmitting to the hospital.
    • Positive Patient Feedback- A current or former patient shares positive feedback about their experience with your organization.
    • Improve Satisfaction- A current or former patient is experiencing a satisfaction issue.
    • Patient Compliance- A compliance concern is detected from a current or former patient's experience.
    • Clinical Need- A current or former patient is experiencing a clinical concern. 

 

  • Employee Opportunities
    • Positive Feedback- A current or former employee shares positive feedback about their experience working with your organization.
    • Prevent Turnover- A current employee has expressed the need for additional support or is dissatisfied regarding their employment.
    • Learn From Turnover- Feedback from former employees regarding the reason they no longer work at your organization.
    • Praised Employees- A current or former patient has given praise to a specific employee on your team
    • Complaints about Employees- A current or former patient has complained about a specific employee on your team
    • Employee Compliance- A compliance concern is detected from a current or former employee's experience.
